Donald Trump<\/a> lashed out at a group of photographers during a press conference in Washington, D.C., today (Tuesday, January 6), where he addressed what the Republican Party was doing “right” for the United States of America after abducting Venezuela<\/a>‘s leader. During the event, Trump, who was wearing his signature navy suit with a white shirt and red tie, took the opportunity to attack photographers at the back of the room. Leaning into the microphone, the President said: “We have one thing that is really strong…” He then pointed at someone in the conference and said: “Uh oh, it’s the fake news.” Trump went off script and pointed at a person who had reportedly won “three Pulitzer Prizes” as he said he liked the people in front of him.<\/p>\n

However, the US Leader then pointed to the back of the room and stated: “I don’t like the people back there. These are the ones who take the pictures. Make me look thin for a change – you are making me look a little bit heavy, and I am not happy about it.”<\/p>\n

He then got back on track with the rest of his speech and gave updates about Venezuela in what he calls his “amazing military achievement”.<\/p>\n

The President was applauded as he detailed the “complex” operation when elite troops seized Venezuelan President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro and his wife on Saturday.<\/p>\n

However, Trump acknowledged that “many, many” Cubans were killed in the military operation, which reportedly involved 152 planes.<\/p>\n

According to the BBC<\/a>, congressional leaders are hoping more details will be revealed on Wednesday as senior members of Trump’s administration are “expected” to brief both chambers.<\/p>\n

Trump has said of the unprecedented operation: \u201cThe United States proved once again that we have the most powerful, most lethal, most sophisticated, and most fearsome.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s a fearsome military on planet Earth, and it’s not even close. You know, I’ve been saying it for a long time.
