Teofimo Lopez<\/a> and Shakur Stevenson<\/a> are set to collide in a fascinating fight in New York at the end of the month. Now, former WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis<\/a>, who fights on the undercard, has offered his verdict on the main event.<\/p>\n

A three-division world champion, Stevenson has ruled at featherweight, super-featherweight and lightweight and now steps up to the super-lightweight scene to take on the standout fighter and champion of the division in Lopez.<\/p>\n

Yet, whilst respected for his willingness to take on all comers, Stevenson recently named Davis as one fighter that he would not want to take on<\/a>, due to their friendship.<\/p>\n

However, when quizzed on how Stevenson will fare against Lopez, Davis appeared to insinuate that he fears his friend may come up short, telling Ring Magazine<\/a> that he expects Lopez to \u2018impose his will\u2019 onto the WBC lightweight champion as the fight progresses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see it starting off slow and then I see as Shakur wins the first round, as Shakur wins the second round, slowly I think that Teofimo is going to start picking it up and start imposing his will and it\u2019s just going to go from there. That is how I think it is going to go \u2026 One thing I can say, though, Teo can fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

On that same card, Davis is tasked with Jamaine Ortiz<\/a> for his first fight at super-lightweight since being stripped of the lightweight world title for missing weight.
