But after years of high-impact work, her body craved gentler\u2014yet still effective\u2014movement. That&#8217;s when she turned to Pvolve, a low-impact workout that focuses on building strength through functional movement.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"1\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">&#8220;You can get as efficient, if not better, of a workout by doing a 30-minute class,&#8221; Jennifer says of swapping out super-intense sweat sessions for Pvolve. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"2\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">With the help of her trainer, Dani Coleman, the 56-year-old has been upping her strength with an eye towards longevity. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"4\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cMuscle supports our skeleton,\u201d says Jennifer. \u201cAs we get older and lose muscle mass, our bones can become brittle [and result in osteoporosis]. A leading cause of injury in the elderly community is falling and breaking a bone because they are so brittle and don\u2019t have the support of strong muscles\u2014we want to avoid that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"5\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Of course, working out is just one component of the actor&#8217;s wellness toolkit. Recently, Jennifer chatted with Women&#8217;s Health about the long list of things that keep her happy and healthy\u2014including her two precious pups. <\/p>\n<p>More healthy habits inspo:First thing you do when you wake up? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"8\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">After letting my dogs, Clyde and Chesterfield, outside to have a little runabout, I mix up 16 ounces of water, colostrum, hair-growth peptides, and the juice of a whole lemon. That\u2019s the first thing that goes into my body for a good half-hour to 45 minutes before I have my morning coffee and eat.<\/p>\n<p>Who was your early inspiration? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"10\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">My grandmother. I would sit with her in the kitchen while she made spanakopita, or cookies, or Greek pastries. She made me laugh a lot, and she took such care of me.<\/p>\n<p>Fave hype-up music? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"12\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">I\u2019m a big lover of \u201890s hip-hop. <\/p>\n<p>Best way to unwind? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"14\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">Nothing makes me happier than curling up on the couch with my two dogs and getting cozy, watching a great show. <\/p>\n<p>Fave longevity habit for your body? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"16\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">It\u2019s really important to maintain healthy muscle mass, so I do Pvolve workouts with my trainer, Dani, three to five times a week. I will throw a pilates class in there too just to keep that [variety].<\/p>\n<p>And what about for your brain? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"18\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">I try to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/health\/a24750828\/meditation-for-beginners\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/health\/a24750828\/meditation-for-beginners\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"meditate\" data-node-id=\"18.1\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">meditate<\/a> every day. There are always periods of time where I\u2019m too busy and don\u2019t get the 20 minutes that I want. But I can at least get 10 minutes here and there or just pause and take a breath\u2014quiet the mind for a moment. <\/p>\n<p>When is the last time you felt on top of the world? <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"20\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">I always feel that way when I wrap a production\u2014completing something that was special and hard work.
