Wolves will be able to recoup a higher transfer fee if they sell striker Jorgen Strand Larsen in January rather than wait for the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

That is according to football finance expert Dr Dan Plumley, who has exclusively told\u00a0Football Insider that he is predicting Strand Larsen to depart Molineux soon due to Wolves<\/a>\u2018 position at the bottom of the Premier League table.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest could make a January move for Strand Larsen<\/a>, who is currently valued at \u00a340million by Wolves.<\/p>\n

Everton<\/a> and West Ham have also explored moves for Strand Larsen<\/a>, with the 25-year-old having netted 15 goals in 54 Premier League appearances.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to\u00a0Football Insider, Plumley thinks Wolves may cash in on Strand Larsen whilst they remain a Premier League club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that this\u00a0is where, again, we\u00a0kind of look\u00a0at the wider finances of relegation,\u201d Plumley said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, again, you know,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0not over till\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0over, but Wolves very much look like they will be one of the clubs that drop into the Championship.\u00a0And when\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0looking at bringing in players in January,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0one factor.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the selling aspect is important as well, because if you roll that through and if you do get relegated, you know that those players are\u00a0perhaps are not\u00a0going to\u00a0sell for as much as they would have done six months or a year prior to that.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo there is a prospect there of cashing in on some of these players, and it has all the financial benefits that it gives you in terms of getting a transfer fee, which will offset some of the money you would lose from not being in the Premier League, TV wise, and getting a player off the wage bill.\u00a0And\u00a0they\u2019d\u00a0have to do some wage restructuring anyway.\u00a0You would hope that there were some, you know, wage reduction clauses in those contracts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSo some of those big players can still command a decent fee. Jorgen Strand Larsen is not one of those players at the minute who\u2019s playing week in, week out and scoring. So I think you might look at that and go, well, ok, he\u2019s one of our biggest names in the squad, but actually, we need to cash in on him now.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo\u00a0I can see a move in January in that regard happening, and maximising the value that you can get in this window.\u201c<\/p>\n
