Despite his exile from the PGA Tour, Koepka\u2019s major pedigree means he will still feature on the biggest stages in 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Thanks to his dominant victory at the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill, he holds a five-year exemption into all four majors.<\/p>\n
However, his world ranking has taken a hammering. Koepka has slid to 244th in the Official World Golf Ranking, largely because LIV Golf events do not award ranking points \u2014 a reality that has increasingly frustrated elite players.<\/p>\n

Last month, LIV Golf CEO Scott O\u2019Neil confirmed that Koepka and the league had \u201camicably and mutually agreed\u201d to part ways.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrooks is prioritising the needs of his family and staying closer to home,\u201d O\u2019Neil said. \u201cWe appreciate the significant impact he has had on the game and wish him continued success, both on and off the course.\u201d<\/p>\n
The human side of Koepka\u2019s decision has been impossible to ignore. His wife, Jena, revealed in October that she had suffered a miscarriage at 16 weeks. The couple also have a two-year-old son, Crew.<\/p>\n
In a statement released on December 23, Koepka\u2019s management team said: \u201cFamily has always guided Brooks\u2019 decisions, and he feels this is the right moment to spend more time at home. Brooks remains passionate about the game of golf and will keep fans updated on what\u2019s ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
