Thomas Kent Carter, a film and TV actor who was known as T.K., died Friday in his home in Duarte, California, multiple outlets reported. He was 69. A cause of death was not immediately shared.<\/p>\n
Carter was best known for his roles as Nauls in \u201cThe Thing\u201d (1982) and as Mike Fulton in seasons one and two of \u201cPunky Brewster.\u201d<\/p>\n
The actor made his television debut on \u201cPolice Woman\u201d in 1976, and also appeared on \u201cFamily Matters,\u201d \u201cGood Morning,\u201d \u201cThe Sinbad Show,\u201d \u201cMoesha,\u201d and other series. He earned his first feature role in 2019 when he was cast as Gary McCullough on HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Corner.\u201d<\/p>\n
In an interview on the \u201cLive From the Green Room\u201d podcast<\/a>, Carter revealed that he wasn\u2019t the first choice for the role, but a friend helped him get it.
