Pop singer Jess Glynne has slammed a post by The White House which used her song \u201cHold My Hand\u201d to soundtrack a video featuring ICE deportation flights.<\/p>\n
Glynne\u2019s 2015 song is featured as part of the Jet2Holidays advert<\/a> audio which has become a viral TikTok sensation over the summer.<\/p>\n The audio, which features a voiceover exclaiming \u201cNothing beats a Jet2 holiday!\u201d<\/a> has soundtracked almost two million videos on TikTok, many of which have depicted holiday mishaps.<\/p>\n The White House attempted to weasel its way into the social media trend by using the audio \u2013 including Glynne\u2019s \u201cHold My Hand\u201d \u2013 to soundtrack a video<\/a> of a group of migrants being handcuffed and forced onto a deportation flight.<\/p>\n When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. \u2708\ufe0f\ud83c\udfb6 <\/p>\n Nothing beats it! pic.twitter.com\/hlLapr9QsE<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 The White House (@WhiteHouse) July 29, 2025<\/a> <\/p>\n Officers from the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement department [ICE]<\/a> were seen blurred out as they took people out of vans and ferried them onto the GlobalX flight.<\/p>\n GlobalX is the airline brand which conducts most deportation flights in the US.<\/p>\n The video ends with a clip of president Donald Trump looking at the camera, putting his thumbs up, and then smirking as he points at the camera.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. Nothing beats it!\u201d reads the video\u2019s caption.<\/p>\n The White House\u2019s post has been heavily condemned on social media.<\/p>\n Reacting to the post, Jess Glynne<\/a>, raged that it made her \u201csick\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThis post honestly makes me sick. My music is about love, unity, and spreading positivity \u2013 never about division or hate,\u201d she wrote on Instagram, alongside two angry emojis.<\/p>\n Actress Zo\u00eb Lister<\/a>, who voices the Jet2holidays advert, also shared her upset, writing: \u201cWhat can be done about [the White House] using [the Jet2] sound and my voiceover to promote their nasty agenda?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHold My Hand\u201d was released by Glynne back in 2015, with the song becoming her first number one.<\/p>\n She has since released several other tracks that topped the charts, including \u201cI\u2019ll Be There\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Be So Hard On Yourself\u201d.<\/p>\n Glynne is currently in a relationship with sports pundit and former professional football player Alex Scott<\/a>.<\/p>\n Share your thoughts!
