Jorrel Hato is one Chelsea player who is already benefitting from Liam Rosenior\u2019s arrival in west London.<\/p>\n

Rosenior<\/a> replaced Enzo Maresca<\/a> as Chelsea manager<\/a> last week and has got off to a winning start in the dugout.<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old oversaw a 5-1 victory over Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup<\/a> at the weekend, with Hato<\/a> starring in that triumph.<\/p>\n

The defender scored a sensational goal at the end of the first half before Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez got their names on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

When Maresca was at Chelsea<\/a>, the Italian encouraged his full-backs to come inside and play in the middle of the pitch.<\/p>\n

Rosenior is now asking Hato to do the same thing, the left-back revealed following his side\u2019s win in the third round of the FA Cup.<\/p>\n

Speaking about his role under Rosenior, Hato told Chelsea\u2019s official club website<\/a>: \u201cI enjoy being able to help offensively as well as defensively. It\u2019s a new role for me, because during my time at Ajax I only ever played as a defender.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaresca wanted me to invert and join in attacks previously, and now the new manager has asked the same of me. It\u2019s a new role but one I\u2019m happy to do and I\u2019m really enjoying the first few days under the gaffer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hato made just four starts in the Premier League<\/a> during Maresca\u2019s final season at Stamford Bridge<\/a>. He will now be hoping for more opportunities under his successor.<\/p>\n

Rosenior was really pleased with Hato\u2019s performance<\/a> at The Valley, so more could be on the way.<\/p>\n

Hato has also discussed his first goal in a Chelsea shirt, which was probably the strike of the weekend.<\/p>\n

On the stroke of half-time, the Dutchman hit a perfect half volley that flew into Will Mannion\u2019s top corner. Hato was so surprised that he could not even celebrate!<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, I was a little bit surprised when it went in so that\u2019s why I didn\u2019t really celebrate too much!\u201d Hato said.<\/p>\n

Clearly, the Netherlands international has a lot of quality, and he reminded everyone of that fact on Saturday. He has Marc Cucurella standing in his way, but there is a possibility that the 27-year-old could leave Chelsea in the near future.<\/p>\n

It has been claimed that Manchester City could make an approach for Cucurella<\/a> in the summer. If he departs Stamford Bridge, it could open up a pathway into the first team for Hato.<\/p>\n
