Emmerdale<\/a>\u00a0is currently a\u00a0village seething\u00a0with guilt and suspicion. Following the\u00a0death of Ray Walters<\/a>\u00a0(Joe Absolom) and the discovery of his and Celia Daniels\u2019\u00a0(Jaye Griffiths) people trafficking operation and drugs empire there are huge questions to be answered about who has blood on their hands for Ray\u2019s murder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One person who has the word\u00a0\u2018suspicious\u2019\u00a0running through him like a stick of rock is\u00a0Joe Tate<\/a>\u00a0(Ned Porteous<\/a>).\u00a0The former kidney thief\u00a0<\/a>was previously\u00a0in cahoots with\u00a0Celia as he thought he was using her to get his hands on Moira\u2019s land at a bargain basement price. Then Celia turned the tables on him and went into business with Moira instead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now it looks like Joe has spotted an opportunity to continue furthering his aims to get his hands on Butlers and make Moira regret crossing him \u2013 by getting Robert (Ryan Hawley) to plant some documents at Butlers that implicate Moira in Celia\u2019s people trafficking scheme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Soon\u00a0enough\u00a0the police are heading to Moira\u2019s farm to question Robert, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins)\u00a0and the other employees. Victoria and Robert do their best to make Moira seem innocent.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0a different story when the police go to Home Farm to talk to Joe. His answers are ambiguous, to say the least, and he manages to make it sound like\u00a0Moira is definitely hiding some secrets<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0enough to make the police apply for a search\u00a0warrant\u00a0and\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0soon on their way back to Butlers to do a thorough search. Moira is confident they\u00a0won\u2019t\u00a0find anything incriminating and tells them to go ahead.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0not long before the police do find something, and Moira is arrested on the spot on suspicion of human trafficking. As\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0led away\u00a0by the police, Caleb (William Ash) resolves to get the best lawyer possible to defend her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0Kim Tate<\/a>\u00a0(Claire King<\/a>) is suspicious when she hears about Moira\u2019s arrest and asks Joe if he had anything to do with it. <\/p>\n

Before he can\u00a0answer\u00a0she decides\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0better off not\u00a0knowing, but\u00a0strongly\u00a0advises him to\u00a0stay\u00a0well away\u00a0from the whole situation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As soon as\u00a0she\u2019s\u00a0gone, Joe gets on the phone to an unknown person, asking for an update. An update to\u00a0what,\u00a0is the question.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To the surprise of absolutely no one, it seems that Joe Tate is heavily involved in\u2026\u00a0something shifty. But how deep is his involvement in\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0unfolding in Emmerdale? Could he\u00a0be responsible for\u00a0Ray\u2019s death as well as conspiring to see Moira jailed for people trafficking?\u00a0<\/p>\n
