Parts of the UK could see snow<\/a> in the coming days, according to a new weather map<\/a>. Fifteen counties across Scotland and Northern Ireland could see the wintry conditions, the weather map from WXCharts.com shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes as the UK is expected to experience some milder conditions this week following several days of cold temperatures and widespread snow. The weather map suggests 12 counties across Scotland could see snowfall on Thursday (January 15). The wintry weather could be seen as far south as Ayrshire and as far north as Inverness-shire, according to the map.<\/p>\n

Much of the snowfall is expected to be light (1mm per hour or less), although heavier conditions are predicted for areas such as Midlothian and West Lothian.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in Northern Ireland, County Antrim and County Down could see snow, per the weather map.<\/p>\n

Snow is not predicted for Wales or England, with the map suggesting rain is expected for much of the UK, particularly in coastal areas.<\/p>\n

The Met Office<\/a> is predicting wet weather for Thursday in its UK forecast.<\/p>\n

\u201cWet and windy weather pushing northeastwards through Thursday, followed by blustery showers on Friday,\u201d its forecast says. \u201cMilder in the south.\u201d<\/p>\n

The forecaster is also warning that heavy rain and melting snow and ice could lead to flooding in the wake of Storm Goretti<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The storm last week brought gusts of almost 100mph and a rare red warning for \u201cdangerous, stormy\u201d winds in the South West was issued.<\/p>\n

As temperatures increase, the Met Office<\/a> said snow melt and a \u201crapid thaw\u201d across the north of the UK, combined with further rain, could lead to flooding concerns.<\/p>\n
