Bam Margera<\/a> has spoken out about his absence from the forthcoming Jackass 5, claiming that as a result, he won\u2019t be receiving his expected $5 million paycheck. <\/p>\n

While Margera, 46, an original and core member of the Jackass crew<\/a>, will appear in the new movie through archival footage, he will not be filming any new stunts. <\/p>\n

Speaking recently to TMZ<\/a> about the agreement, the former stuntman \u2014 who was fired from the fourth film, Jackass Forever<\/a> (2022), after an alleged breach of contract related to his documented drug and alcohol use \u2014 admitted that he was still \u201churt\u201d about the whole ordeal. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you had a laundry list of the chain of horrible events of the two years of Covid that they put me through, spending my own money at an alarming rate for therapists, doctors and treatment and all this, only to sit me down and tell me you\u2019re not in the movie and you\u2019re not getting $5 million,\u201d Margera fumed. \u201cI watch Dateline and people kill other people for a whole lot less.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2021, Margera filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Jackass co-creators and stars Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, along with producer Spike Jonze, Paramount Pictures and MTV Networks<\/a>. He alleged that Knoxville and Tremaine \u201ccoerced\u201d him into signing the \u201cwellness agreement\u201d while he was in rehab, undergoing addiction treatment. A year later, he dropped the lawsuit after reaching a private settlement. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have a lot of PTSD from it all,\u201d he told TMZ, \u201cand you know, having the title of \u2018Ex-Jackass star Bam Margera,\u2019 I have to live with that. The humiliation, the abandonment and just embarrassment of it all, I had to let it go.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo now I\u2019m very happy skateboarding again,\u201d he said, sharing that \u201cas far as I know, I don\u2019t have to film anything new [for Jackass 5], and I don\u2019t want to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey said we\u2019re going to sift through a lot of old footage to try and create something new,\u201d he added, \u201cand I said, \u2018Hell yeah, go for it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked whether he would be open to returning for new stunts, Margera replied: \u201cI\u2019m just too hurt by it, and I\u2019ve already accepted the fact that I don’t want anything to do with it anymore, and only time will tell, but right now at this time I don\u2019t wanna do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that he still hasn\u2019t spoken to Knoxville but remains friends with everyone else on Jackass. \u201cBut for Tremaine and Knoxville to sit me down after everything I\u2019ve been through and just simply say, \u2018You\u2019re not in and you\u2019re not getting the $5 million you usually get,\u2019\u201d he reiterated, going on to credit his original video series CKY as \u201c50 percent of the reason Jackass exists.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Independent has contacted Knoxville and Tremaine\u2019s representatives for comment. <\/p>\n

Created by Margera and Brandon DiCamillo and released between 1999 and 2001, CKY would go on to form part of the basis for what eventually became Jackass.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very angry, and now I\u2019m not angry, I\u2019m just hurt,\u201d Margera acknowledged. \u201cAs of now, I don\u2019t want to even think about reuniting with anybody.
