Warrington Wolves are reportedly interested in an NRL prop with the club seeking to strengthen their pack ahead of 2026.<\/p>\n

Wire have already confirmed the signing of Tevita Pangai Jr for the 2026 season and it\u2019s also been reported by All Out Rugby League that they will recruit Wigan Warriors\u2019 Liam Byrne, adding to what is already a robust pack.<\/p>\n

However, they have lost Paul Vaughan with the former State of Origin man making the shock transfer to sign with Championship side York Knights<\/a>. That move now looks to potentially make more sense with the news that Super League will expand to 14 teams<\/a> with the Knights among those fancied to either challenge on terms of IMG ranking or via the application process.<\/p>\n

Vaughan had confirmed earlier in the year that there was a contract offer on the table for him at Warrington<\/a> but now he\u2019s set to leave, it\u2019s meant Sam Burgess\u2019 side have headed back to the market.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s taken them to the NRL and they\u2019re reportedly on the hunt for Dolphins prop Josh Kerr who was named to Queensland\u2019s extended Origin squad only this year, highlighting his quality.<\/p>\n

Kerr is off-contract at the end of the year and is looking to secure a new deal. Per reports Down Under, the Dolphins are keen to keep the 29-year-old but he\u2019s made it very clear that he won\u2019t be taking a pay cut.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Code Sports in April, he said: \u201cI \u00a0will never be that person that gets taken advantage of by my club ever again, that\u2019s something I\u2019m very strong on.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019d accept that he was \u201chappy and comfortable\u201d at the club and would want to stay, however, should higher bids come from elsewhere then he\u2019d explore those options.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve done the thing in the past where I thought I was playing for love at a club,\u201d Kerr explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut you learn very quickly it\u2019s a business and they don\u2019t really give a s*** \u2026 there\u2019s a difference between loving a club and wanting to play for it and then them having a look at that and taking advantage of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s opened the door for rival NRL clubs but also Warrington with the Wolves named by\u00a0The Courier Mail\u00a0<\/a>as a side who are interested in signing the 29-year-old.<\/p>\n
