Army of Darkness actor Marcus Gilbert passed away on Sunday after a long battle with throat cancer. He was 67.<\/p>\n

The Marcus Gilbert Fansite<\/a> shared the sad news, stating, \u201cWe, along with his many fans worldwide, will mourn his loss, and remember the joy he gave us on screen, and in person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horror fans will recognize the British actor as Lord Arthur, who battled the Deadites alongside Ash in Army of Darkness.<\/p>\n

Gilbert discussed his experience on the cult classic film in Medieval Times: The Making of Army Of Darkness, a featurette produced for Scream Factory\u2019s Blu-ray in 2015.<\/p>\n

His other notable credits include an ill-fated<\/a> Soviet helicopter pilot in Rambo III and a four-episode arc on \u201cDoctor Who\u201d during Sylvester McCoy\u2019s run as the seventh Doctor.<\/p>\n

Gilbert was among the actors considered for James Bond after Roger Moore vacated the iconic role in the mid \u201980s, though Timothy Dalton was ultimately cast.<\/p>\n
