{"id":368503,"date":"2026-01-14T02:25:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T02:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/368503\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T02:25:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T02:25:09","slug":"trailer-baz-luhrmanns-epic-elvis-concert-film","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/368503\/","title":{"rendered":"Trailer: Baz Luhrmann&#8217;s &#8220;EPiC&#8221; Elvis Concert Film"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/trailer-baz-luhrmanns-epic-elvis-concert-film.jpg\" data-caption=\"NEON, UPI\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"464\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/trailer-baz-luhrmanns-epic-elvis-concert-film.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"trailer-baz-luhrmanns-epic-elvis-concert-film\"\/><\/a>NEON, UPI<\/p>\n<p>NEON and Universal Pictures International have premiered the trailer and poster for \u201cEPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert,\u201d the new Baz Luhrmann-directed concert documentary film.<\/p>\n<p>Premiering to rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival, the project is dubbed \u201cmore than a documentary or a concert film\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Unseen footage taken during the making of the 1970s documentary features \u201cElvis: That\u2019s the Way It Is\u201d and \u201cElvis on Tour\u201d, along with footage from the \u201cgold jacket\u201d performance from Hawaii in 1957, was found within the Warner Bros. film archives in salt mines in Kansas. <\/p>\n<p>Over two years, it was restored and synced to existing audio sources by Luhrmann\u2019s team \u2013 including a 45-minute audio recording that was then uncovered of Presley talking about his life story.<\/p>\n<p>Jonathan Redmond edited the feature with the trailer showing off scenes from Elvis\u2019 Las Vegas residency in the early 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>The film will have its Australian Premiere at the AACTA Festival on Saturday, February 7th, before opening in Australia on February 19th and in the United States on February 20th.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.
