The 24 actor was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal threats, according to police<\/p>\n

\n\tKiefer Sutherland<\/a> was arrested Monday morning following an alleged ride-share altercation with a driver, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. <\/p>\n

\n\tNBC4<\/a> reported the news that officers responded to a radio call involving Sutherland and a ride-share driver in the Hollywood area and that the 59-year-old actor is being accused of assaulting the driver after entering the vehicle. According to the LAPD, he was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal threats, and records indicated he was released from custody on $50,000 bond with an initial court date scheduled for Feb. 2.<\/p>\n

\n\tA representative for Sutherland did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tSutherland was previously charged with drunk driving in 2007, his fourth DUI since 1989, and later pleaded\u00a0no contest<\/a>\u00a0and was sentenced to 48 days in jail. <\/p>\n

Sutherland and McCollough issued a joint statement<\/a> after the incident. \u201cI am sorry about what happened that night and sincerely regret that Mr. McCollough was injured,\u201d Sutherland wrote in the statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor and musician is widely known for his portrayal of Jack Bauer in 24, winning a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe award for his starring role in the Fox series.
