K-POP legends BTS have announced a world tour after a four year hiatus \u2013 but the group snubbed Scotland, leaving fans gutted. <\/p>\n

The South Korean boy band have not released any music or performed since temporarily disbanding to complete mandatory military service back home.<\/p>\n

Members of the group were discharged from their mandatory military service earlier this yearCredit: Getty<\/p>\n

But the group\u2019s RM, Jin, Jimin, V, Suga, Jung Kook and J-hope have announced a comeback, with their first studio album in more than five years set to be released on March 20. <\/p>\n

The untitled fifth full\u2011length features 14 tracks reflecting on the band\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n

Shortly after its release, the seven\u2011piece will kick off a whopping 79\u2011date world tour at Goyang Stadium near Seoul. <\/p>\n

They\u2019ll then play the Tokyo Dome for two nights before jetting across the Pacific for a North American run where they\u2019ll play 28 stadium shows in 12 cities and make pit stops across Europe<\/a> and Asia.<\/p>\n

In Europe, they will play gigs in Madrid<\/a>, Brussels, London<\/a>, Munich and Paris<\/a>. <\/p>\n

But Scots fans have been left devastated after realising the band will not play any dates here. <\/p>\n

One fan wrote on X: \u201cWorld Tour huh? Where are the dates for Glasgow<\/a> and Edinburgh<\/a>? You can\u2019t call it a world tour if you leave Scotland<\/a> out!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cBTS<\/a> not doing a Scotland date\u2026. I\u2019m depressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

A third added: \u201cShame they ain\u2019t coming to Scotland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, they will perform two dates at London<\/a>\u2018s Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> Stadium on July 6 and 7. <\/p>\n

BTS stands for the Korean phrase Bangtan Sonyeondan which translates to \u201cBulletproof Boy Scouts\u201d, although they also go by Bangtan Boys and \u201cBeyond The Scene\u201d.<\/p>\n

Formed in 2010 and signed to Big Hit Entertainment in 2013, they smashed records with their first English\u2011language single Dynamite, which set the YouTube<\/a> premiere view record.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re best known for tunes like Butter and Life Goes On and have collaborated with Western stars including Charli XCX<\/a>, Coldplay<\/a> and Halsey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

BTS were the first K\u2011pop act to bag a Grammy nod and remain South Korea\u2019s best\u2011selling music act, selling over 40 million albums.<\/p>\n

Tickets<\/a> for BTS\u2019 ARMY Membership will go on sale from January 22 to 23, while the general sale will be held on January 24.<\/p>\n
