Liverpool are just over the halfway stage of the Premier League<\/a> season, and it has not quite lived up to expectations \u2013 and you may be surprised by the data\u2019s choice for the top-rated player.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s side have stumbled and faltered in their title defence, already dropping 28 points after only 21 games played. They dropped 30 in the entirety of 2024\/25.<\/p>\n

Liverpool, as a unit, have performed below expectations and their potential, but for supporters, one player would stand out above the rest, and that is Dominik Szoboszlai<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to FotMob<\/a>\u2018s data, however, he is not ranked as the top performer so far, with that title instead going to Ryan Gravenberch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman has featured in 19 of the 21 games to date, which perhaps elevates his score having played a game less than Szoboszlai, though not much separates the two.<\/p>\n

Gravenberch is statistically currently rated 7.43-out-of-10, thanks to his four goals (third-most), two assists (third-most) and three big chances created (third-most).<\/p>\n

Szoboszlai (7.32), meanwhile, is second and ranks highest for chances created (35) and expected assists (2.8), though his five yellow cards likely influence his rating.<\/p>\n

Third in FotMob\u2019s rankings is Cody Gakpo<\/a> (7.23), as he has the most assists (three), most big chances created (seven) and second-most goals (five), though supporters may see it differently!<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

The top five is then rounded off by Virgil van Dijk<\/a> (7.21), Liverpool\u2019s highest-rated defender, and Florian Wirtz<\/a> (7.10).<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s \u00a3116 million summer transfer has been in the headlines a lot in his debut season so far, but he is showing he is getting to grips with the demands of English football.<\/p>\n

Though he will hope his teammates convert more of the chances he creates in the second half of the season!<\/p>\n

Ibrahima Konate<\/a> (7.08) takes sixth spot, followed by Mohamed Salah<\/a> (7.05) and Hugo Ekitike<\/a> (7.01).<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

It is surprising to see the Frenchman in eighth spot as he leads the way on goals (eight) and has the most combined contributions (10), not to mention successful dribbles per 90 (1.8).<\/p>\n

He will be widely considered the standout summer addition, but the data clearly prefers the output of his abovementioned teammates more. <\/p>\n

Alisson<\/a> (6.94), who has missed five league games this season, is ranked ninth, with Milos Kerkez<\/a> (6.92) rounding off the top 10.<\/p>\n

It is quite the list and perhaps not what you would have expected if you were asked to create your top 10 \u2013 question is, how much will it have changed by season\u2019s end?<\/p>\n
