Eamonn Holmes has received a flood of support after sharing his health woes this week, giving an explanation as to why he was absent from his GB News morning show.<\/p>\n

Eamonn, 66, shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, detailing he has suffered a couple of “awful days”.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, he penned on the social media app: “Awful days yesterday and this morning. Really heavy cold. Can\u2019t stop sneezing. No energy.”<\/p>\n

He ended the tweet with a series of emojis indicating sadness and sickness.<\/p>\n

The People’s Channel star received a flood of responses in the comments, with many wishing him a speedy recovery.<\/p>\n

One sympathised: “Oh bless you, get well soon Eamonn!”<\/p>\n

“I’m just after a long flu – was awful – make sure you are drugged up every four hours Eamonn,” a second advised.<\/p>\n

Another reassured the presenter, sharing: “Had it myself for 3 weeks. It will go eventually.”<\/p>\n

“Get better soon Eamonn. Have plenty of rest,” someone else added.<\/p>\n

A different X follower penned: “That’s what happens In January I can relate. Have a good rest.”<\/p>\n

Someone else commented: “‘ve had this bug for 10 days now, it’s like something I’ve never had before.<\/p>\n

“Even when I had Covid a couple of years ago it wasn\u2019t this bad. The tiredness is the worst bit. Get well soon.”<\/p>\n

Another advised: “I’ve had it for weeks Eamonn. The only thing that helps is complete rest. I know its easier said than done but…”<\/p>\n

“Get well soon, look after yourself Eamonn,” one more wrote. (sic)<\/p>\n

Eamonn often shares elements of his personal life on social media, with the presenter posting an adorable snap of his dog Maggie on Instagram last week.<\/p>\n

Captioning the image of the pooch, who seemed to be seated in a car, he wrote: “Hello Maggie – U look Regal and Lovely.”<\/p>\n

Eamonn also frequently shares health updates with fans. In October, he was inundated with well-wishes after sharing an update following a hospital visit.<\/p>\n

The GB News Breakfast star took to Instagram to reveal he’s having to wear a patch over his right eye.<\/p>\n

He didn’t reveal the exact reason for the medical treatment, but displayed a positive attitude as he joked about the health update.<\/p>\n

He penned: “One of these eye patches was put on in hospital and the other one by me. See if u can guess which?” before signing off: “Ps U should see the other guy!!!” (sic)<\/p>\n
