AEW<\/p>\n

An update has emerged regarding WWE\u2019s plans for the debut of AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs.<\/p>\n

A fast developing story within the wrestling world in recent days has been the potential AEW exit Powerhouse Hobbs, with The Opps member reportedly expected to join WWE imminently.<\/p>\n

Fightful<\/a> reported on January 14 that Hobbs\u2019 AEW deal was set to expire at midnight, with WWE sources expecting him to be heading to the company once he\u2019s a free agent.<\/p>\n

Now, in a new update, Cory Hays of Bodyslam.net has revealed via Twitter that Hobbs is expected to forego NXT and head straight to WWE\u2019s main roster.<\/p>\n

In response to a post from a Twitter user which stated that NXT is really going to need Hobbs on the brand, Hays wrote:<\/p>\n

He\u2019s expected to head to the main roster<\/p>\n

On Wrestling Observer Radio<\/a>, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE had expected they \u201chad Hobbs for quite a while\u201d, with the former AEW TNT Champion said to have turned down a new contract from AEW.<\/p>\n
