England’s hot weather looks far from over with a 31C blast set to sizzle the country this week. Eight counties will soar above 30C and the majority of England will bask in the high 20s, according to weather maps<\/a> by WXCharts.<\/p>\n

The hottest temperatures<\/a> will be felt in the southeast on Friday, July 18, with a peak of 31C forecast for parts of Norfolk. Seven counties will bask in 30C at 6pm in the evening, including Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Newcastle has been forecast a pleasant 25C, London and Kent a toasty 29C, and East and North Yorkshire could reach highs of 29C.<\/p>\n

However, the west coast will be much cooler, particularly in the north, with sub 20C temperatures forecast in Cumbria. Cornwall<\/a> and Devon will also be slightly cooler with the coastal breeze, with temperatures predicted to sit between 20C and 22C.<\/p>\n

The Met Office<\/a> forecast for Norfolk on Friday said the high temperatures could be accompanied by humidity.<\/p>\n

It said: “Dry and bright on Friday but very warm and humid with showers or heavy rain developing overnight into Saturday. Cooler by Sunday, but remaining unsettled with further showers.”<\/p>\n

For the rest of the UK, it predicted “largely dry” weather in the southeast with “very warm” sunshine, although it expected cloudier conditions further north and west with some showers.<\/p>\n

Even though health heat alerts from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office<\/a> ended on July 14, the weather agency predicted that extreme weather would become more common.<\/a> The UK has already faced three heatwaves this year.<\/p>\n

It revealed that the last three years have been among the UK\u2019s top five warmest on record, with 2024 being the fourth warmest year in records dating back to 1884.<\/p>\n
