\n\tHanWay Films<\/a> has boarded international sales on \u201cLegacy,\u201d the upcoming horror feature from genre director David Slade<\/a> (\u201cHard Candy,\u201d \u201c30 Days of Night,\u201d \u201cBlack Mirror: Bandersnatch\u201d). Exclusive footage from the film is set to be showcased to buyers at this year\u2019s European Film Market in Berlin.<\/p>\n

\n\tWritten by emerging screenwriter Thomas Bilotta, \u201cLegacy\u201d \u2014\u00a0described as a \u201cvisceral, character-driven horror\u201d \u2014 stars Lucy Hale<\/a> (\u201cFantasy Island,\u201d \u201cTruth or Dare\u201d), Oscar-winner Anjelica Huston (\u201cThe Witches,\u201d \u201cThe Addams Family\u201d), and Jack Whitehall (\u201cJungle Cruise,\u201d \u201cFresh Meat\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tProduced by Chris Abernathy and Eric B. Fleischman through The Wonder Company, the film wrapped production in the U.K. in November. Executive producers include Hale, Amanda Massetti, Jo Henriquez, Jan McAdoo, Stephen Braun, Ross Putman, James Harris, Mark Lane, and Bishal Dutta, with Jess Varley and Bri Hennessey serving as co-executive producers. UTA Independent Film Group represents domestic rights, with HanWay handling international sales.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLegacy\u201d follows Americans Leah (Hale) and Nate (Whitehall), estranged siblings reunited after the death of their long-absent father, who bequeaths them his English country estate. Determined to leave their troubled past behind, they agree to sell the property. But when a mysterious woman named Ruth (Huston) arrives, their plans unravel over the next terrifying twenty-four hours as they are besieged by an ominous cult \u2014 and hunted by someone, or something, lurking beneath.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s great to see David Slade back in the saddle to deliver another strong horror film with a great cast,\u201d said Gabrielle Stewart, CEO of HanWay Films.<\/p>\n
