\n Wanderers will use their fourth goalkeeper of the season at the Brick Community Stadium looking to arrest a worrying dip in form which has seen them win just once in their last seven games.\n<\/p>\n
\n Schumacher felt his goalkeeping department needed improvement, although the timing of Miller\u2019s departure has meant a much greater turnover than expected.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt’s a bit unusual,\u201d he said. \u201cI don’t know if it’s unprecedented,\u00a0but I’ve not seen it before.\u00a0But as I say, we feel as though that department,\u00a0we haven’t had the results from it that we wanted.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI think Teddy’s done a lot of good things for us\u00a0in the first half of the season,\u00a0but there were goals that went in\u00a0that we feel as though shouldn’t have gone in.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe made mistakes in the Exeter game\u00a0and the Mansfield game that, again, can be avoided.\u00a0Now, in any young goalkeeper’s career, that can happen.\u00a0But I said to him the other day to learn from this experience,\u00a0and he will have learned from it.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt is part of his development\u00a0if he’s had a little bit of a setback to be able to go again.\u00a0And I’m sure he will.\u00a0There’ll be people queuing up to take him.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBut here at this moment, where we are,\u00a0under the pressure and the circumstances\u00a0of what our fans bring,\u00a0I think bringing in somebody with that calmer head\u00a0and that experience is probably the right call.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThe Tyler Miller one is something that we didn’t see coming.\u00a0We gave him a contract in the summer\u00a0and expected him to see it out\u00a0and we’re even considering extending.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cBut when he came to me and said, look,\u00a0this opportunity has come up for him to go back to America\u00a0and it’s something that he and his family really want to take.\u00a0He’s a really good guy.\u00a0He was 30-odd years of age.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cYou don’t want to stand in his way and say no.\u00a0And then six months later, we don’t give him a contract\u00a0and that’s not there.\u00a0I’m not that type of person.\n<\/p>\n
