J.J. Abrams is directing a top secret sci-fi movie for Warner Bros that\u2019s officially received a title and release date.<\/p>\n

The Great Beyond will release in theaters and on IMAX this year, on November 13, 2026.<\/p>\n

The mysterious film is confirmed to be sci-fi, but it is not a time travel movie<\/a>. Expect this feature to remain shrouded in secrecy for as long as possible.<\/p>\n

What we do know is that The Great Beyond stars in-demand actors Jenna Ortega (\u201cWednesday\u201d) and Glen Powell (The Running Man). It also stars Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Merritt Wever, and Samuel L. Jackson.<\/p>\n

Abrams wrote and directed the film, which Indiewire<\/a> notes was thought to be titled \u201cGhost Writer.\u201d The filmmaker also produced the film with Tommy Gormley.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also worth noting that Abram\u2019s latest\u00a0will go up against Ti West\u2019s Ebenezer: Christmas Carol<\/a> film, opening on the same day.<\/p>\n
