“We have also made clear that Arctic Security matters for the whole of Nato and allies should all do more together to address the threat from Russia<\/a> across different parts of the Arctic.<\/p>\n “Applying tariffs on allies for pursuing the collective security of Nato allies is completely wrong. We will of course be pursuing this directly with the US administration.”<\/p>\n Sweden\u2019s prime minister said his country was having \u201cintensive discussions\u201d with the other countries to decide on a coordinated response.<\/p>\n Mr. Macron stated he would not yield to \u201cintimidation\u201d and seemed to liken the situation to that in Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNo intimidation nor threat will influence us, neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world when we are confronted with such situations.”<\/p>\n The Netherlands, one of the countries affected by Trump\u2019s new tariff measures, says it has \u201ctaken note\u201d of the 10% tariffs.<\/p>\n In a social media post, Foreign Affairs Minister David van Weel stated that the Netherlands is \u201cin close contact\u201d with other EU member states to coordinate a response.<\/p>\n This cmes after Donald Trump<\/a> announced that the UK and other European countries will be hit with a 10% tariff \u201con any and all goods\u201d sent to the US from February 1 until a deal is reached to buy Greenland.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n
