\nJohnson, who spoke to Kuenssberg before Donald Trump announced tariffs on countries supporting Greenland yesterday. <\/p>\n
He accepts that Greenland is “not our land” but says it has “strategic importance to us”.<\/p>\n
“I
\ndon’t foresee military intervention”, he says, adding that “diplomatic channels” are “the way to
\ngo”.<\/p>\n
Should we not pay attention to the president’s threat to use military action, Kuenssberg asks.<\/p>\n
“No, we should pay attention to his words,” he responds, saying some allies now have “people there now”. <\/p>\n
