The airport<\/a> is offering direct flights to destinations including Vienna, Venice, and Istanbul \u2014 cities that have all played host to Bond on screen.\n<\/p>\n\n Simon Gorrighan, aviation director at London Stansted, said: “Watching a James Bond film is a much-loved tradition for many over Christmas, but the New Year is the perfect time to turn that inspiration into adventure.\n<\/p>\n
\n “With direct flights to some of Europe’s most iconic Bond locations, and our own starring role in Tomorrow Never Dies,London Stansted is the gateway to a 007 inspired escape.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Each destination is packed with its own slice of Bond history.\n<\/p>\n
\n In The Living Daylights, Timothy Dalton\u2019s Bond rides Vienna\u2019s iconic Ferris wheel, while Spectre sees the Alpine village of Obertilliach featured.\n<\/p>\n
\n Venice, with its winding canals, appeared in both Casino Royale and Moonraker, and Lake Como\u2019s elegant villas featured in Casino Royale.\n<\/p>\n
\n From March, easyJet will launch direct flights from Stansted to Paris.\n<\/p>\n
\n In A View to a Kill, Grace Jones made her dramatic leap from the Eiffel Tower.\n<\/p>\n
\n Meanwhile, Turkish Airlines will begin operating 15 weekly flights to Istanbul, the setting for key scenes in From Russia With Love, as well as the dramatic finale of The World Is Not Enough at Maiden\u2019s Tower.\n<\/p>\n
\n Other Bond destinations within reach include Matera\u2019s ancient streets (No Time to Die), Rome by night (Spectre), the Furka Pass in Switzerland (Goldfinger), Norway\u2019s Atlantic Road (No Time to Die), and Monte Carlo\u2019s opulent casino (GoldenEye).\n<\/p>\n
\n For fans, the Bond adventure begins the moment they arrive at the airport.\n<\/p>\n
