Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported just before 10am on Monday, January 19 that Walton Road, the A59, in Everton was partially blocked in both directions to a &#8220;police incident&#8221; from A5050 <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/kirkdale\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Kirkdale<\/a> Vale to Pugin Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Walton Road is a busy road that connects <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-city-centre\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Liverpool city centre<\/a> with Everton, Queen&#8217;s Drive and the north of the city. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said the force received a report at around 9.20am this morning of a crash involving a grey Vauxhall Mokka and a grey Ford Fiesta on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/walton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Walton<\/a> Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A woman who was inside one of the vehicles suffered a neck injury and was removed from the car. Walton Road was closed by officers whilst emergency services were at the scene and both cars were removed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Buses were also diverted in the area.
