Police were called to a Nottinghamshire business park after reports a man was seen wielding a knife.

Officers attended the Ruddington Fields Business Park, by Rushcliffe Country Park in Ruddington, after receiving the report at about 9am on Monday morning (January 19).

“Anyone with information can contact the police by calling 101, quoting incident 127 of January 19, or alternatively anonymously report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111,” a spokesperson for the force added.

Software company Cita, credit reporting firm Experian, and manufacturers Greene, Tweed and Co Ltd are among the companies at the business park.

Nottingham College also has a campus on the site, which is located directly next to the country park.

The businesses temporarily went into lockdown whilst police searched the area 14:03, 19 Jan 2026Updated 15:03, 19 Jan…

[5
84,924,59,15257,102306,143936,56,54,55
post-378585","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-business","tag-business","tag-crime","tag-gb","tag-nottinghamshire","tag-nottinghamshire-police","tag-ruddington","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
