Noel Gallagher<\/a> has reflected on Oasis<\/a>\u2018 historic reunion run, and has fuelled rumours of new music with the admission that he was \u201cback at work\u201d.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s 41-date tour\u00a0began in Cardiff on July 4<\/a>\u00a0and saw them take in five homecoming shows at Manchester\u2019s Heaton Park, seven at Wembley Stadium in London, and gigs across the UK, Europe, Asia,\u00a0Australia\u00a0and the Americas.<\/p>\n

On Friday (January 16), Noel appeared on Radio 5\u2019s Football Daily<\/a>, and was asked about the infamous \u2018Gallagher Hill\u2019 \u2013 where ticketless fans gathered in droves to listen to their Heaton Park gigs.<\/p>\n

At one of them, Liam Gallagher<\/a>\u00a0dedicated \u2018Definitely Maybe\u2019 classic \u2018Bring It Own Down\u2019 to the crowds that had gathered on the mound<\/a>\u00a0despite\u00a0Manchester City Council trying to fence it off<\/a>, and the band later handed out shirts to fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cOasis fans are the best in the world,\u201d he said of their dedication. \u201cThey\u2019re the most loyal, and the fact that there was an arena-sized crowd outside the venue every night was just amazing, you know what I mean? And hats off to them. We gave away a few T-shirts, and we put the video screen up there towards the end of the run, but they were amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The conversation then turned to how it felt to have his children in attendance across the global trek, with Noel joking that they\u2019d shown \u201cvirtually no interest\u201d in his job until the first night in Cardiff.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey went from never seeing Oasis once, to seeing Oasis 38 times in six months<\/a>, which has got to be some kind of record. They loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turning his attention to hosts \u201cDarren Fletcher, Don Hutchison, Kevin Nolan and Glenn Murray, he said: \u201cI mean, you were there, you seen them there, they\u2019re great, great lads. And, you know, they were buzzing off all the City players that were coming. Pep was there, Foden and John Stones and Rodri, and, you know, they were buzzing just kind of seeing it all.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I didn\u2019t think they thought I was that cool until halfway through, they were like, \u2018God, he knows John McEnroe as well, what\u2019s going on here?\u2019 So I\u2019m well worthy of the \u2018Dad Of The Year\u2019 mug that I got for Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

This prompted the show hosts to ask how his holiday was, prompting Noel to reply: \u201cThe holiday was good. But, yeah, back at work on Monday. So it\u2019s all good, mate. It\u2019s all been going great.\u201d As for his busy and successful 2025 with Oasis, he said: \u201cIt went rather well, didn\u2019t it?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

During another football-related appearance earlier this month (January 5), Noel stopped by Talksport<\/a> and shut down rumours that the band were in line to pen a James Bond theme, though he added that it would be \u201can absolute honour\u201d and that these things \u201cshould be done by Brits not Yanks\u201d.<\/p>\n

It comes after\u00a0Oasis announced a \u201cpause\u201d last year as they reflected on their huge \u2018Live \u201825\u2019 reunion tour<\/a>, which\u00a0ended in Brazil<\/a>\u00a0on November 24.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so it came to pass,\u201d wrote the band in a message to fans, before quoting a\u00a0damning article<\/a>\u00a0from journalist Simon Price: \u2018The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history\u2019 found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will now be a pause for a period of reflection,\u201d they finished, signing off simply as Oasis.<\/p>\n

Rumours of more tour dates next year, as well as potential new music, have been rife in recent months. Liam\u00a0recently teased more shows on X<\/a>,\u00a0writing, \u201cI know things you don\u2019t know\u201d to a fan who asked him if he\u00a0was\u00a0sad the tour would\u00a0be ending\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n

And, at the\u00a0last Wembley show of their comeback run in September<\/a>, he\u00a0told fans \u201cSee you next year\u201d before playfully slapping himself on the wrist<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He later said that this comment led to \u201ca few tuts and raised eyebrows,\u201d when a fan asked him directly about it on X.<\/p>\n

As for the setlists,\u00a0Liam has already teased that there are \u201cloads more classics\u201d that could make the cut in the future<\/a>. They played the exact same\u00a023\u00a0songs in the same order at all 41 shows earlier this year, although\u00a0guitarist Gem Archer recently revealed that the original setlist was four songs longer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In October, a British peer seemed to\u00a0accidentally reveal that Oasis would be playing Knebworth next summer<\/a>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0in what would mark 30 years since the band\u2019s famous shows at the Hertfordshire stately home \u2013\u00a0before backtracking on her\u00a0claims.<\/p>\n

Lady Taylor of Stevenage stood up in the House of Lords on October 22 and said, via\u00a0The Guardian<\/a>, \u201cNext July, I have the benefit of five days of Oasis concerts in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House, which is just about a mile from my house.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then told the broadsheet: \u201cI was speaking\u00a0hypothetically following\u00a0speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996. I understand the band have not confirmed this.\u201d<\/p>\n

What has been confirmed, however, is that\u00a0a new film documenting Oasis\u2019 return and comeback tour is also on the way, and is being produced by\u00a0Peaky Blinders\u00a0creator Steven Knight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0a glowing five-star review of the opening night of\u00a0Live\u2019 25\u00a0in Cardiff<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0wrote: \u201cPlaying before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.\u201d<\/p>\n
