\n\tAfter more than a decade, could Saturday Night Live<\/a> be primed for a new set of \u2018Weekend Update<\/a>\u2018 hosts?<\/p>\n

\n\tCast member Bowen Yang<\/a> and his Las Culturistas<\/a> podcast co-host Matt Rogers<\/a> recently threw their hats in the ring to replace Michael Che<\/a> and Colin Jost<\/a> as the parody news segment\u2019s anchors as the NBC sketch comedy show prepares to return for Season 51<\/a> on Oct. 4. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOh God, trauma!\u201d Rogers prefaced a question for Yang on Hot Ones Versus<\/a>. \u201cWe both auditioned for SNL, but only you were asked to join. If you could have me replace any current SNL cast, who would it be?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tInstead of eating a wing, Yang replied, \u201cIf I could have you replace any current cast member \u2026 I\u2019m gonna give Che and Colin the chop so that you and I can do \u2018Update\u2019 together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love that, I think we\u2019d be great at \u2018Update.\u2019 We\u2019d give a new fresh take,\u201d added Rogers. \u201cHey Colin, hey Che, ya burnt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tColin Jost and Michael Che host \u2018Saturday Night Live\u2019s \u2018Weekend Update\u2019.<\/p>\n

\n\tChe and Jost have headed up \u2018Weekend Update\u2019 since Season 40 in 2014, taking over for Seth Meyers<\/a> and Cecily Strong<\/a>. As of the Season 50 finale<\/a> in May, no cast departures<\/a> have been announced.<\/p>\n
