On January 16, the Evesham Township Police\u00a0shared a priceless video recorded by one of their officers while patrolling a neighborhood overnight. He stopped his vehicle at a crosswalk to let a pedestrian cross, but it wasn’t a person\u2014it was an adorable beaver<\/a> hard at work! Officer Traver’s video quickly went viral among local news outlets, including @nbcphiladelphia, which shared the adorable moment from the charming New Jersey town.<\/p>\n You don’t see this every day! It’s unusual enough to see a beaver wandering a neighborhood at night, but to see one using the crosswalk is truly a one-of-a-kind moment. Instead, these animals build dams<\/a> as the outermost layer of protection around their true home: a covered ‘lodge’ in the middle of the deep pond that the dams create.<\/p>\n Staying safe from predators is a big motivator!
