Chris Pratt disclosed what Star-Lord<\/a> has been up to on Earth following the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. In a recent interview, the actor touched on the character\u2019s current life, Marvel\u2019s promise of his return, and which superhero he\u2019d like to portray next.<\/p>\n

In an interview with ScreenTime<\/a>, Chris Pratt discussed what Star-Lord has been doing since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He said, \u201cProbably denying the fact that he was responsible for the death of Iron Man, while simultaneously trying to convince people that he was a superhero at some point.\u201d Pratt also noted that Peter Quill is likely \u201ccatching up on the music. From \u201970s pop all the way until he came back, there\u2019s a lot of music to catch up on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The ending of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 shows Peter Quill returning to Earth and reuniting with his grandfather. The film concludes with a post-credits scene of them eating breakfast, ending on the message: \u201cThe legendary Star-Lord will return.\u201d Commenting on this, Pratt said, \u201cWe made a promise with Guardians of the Galaxy that Star-Lord would return \u2013 I think I\u2019d really like to make good on that promise.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked what a standalone Star-Lord movie might involve, Pratt joked about a music-driven premise, calling it the \u201cStar-Lord Assemble Music Mission.\u201d He suggested it would feature ideas thrown around creatively, saying, \u201cWe\u2019ll get you in the writing room\u2026 throw every idea against the wall.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the topic of future Marvel roles, Pratt expressed interest in portraying the Punisher. \u201cHe was my favorite comic book hero growing up, so I\u2019ve always loved Punisher,\u201d he said. Although Jon Bernthal currently plays the character in the MCU, Pratt specified his interest in a particular version: \u201cMaybe Punisher 2099.\u201d<\/p>\n

Punisher 2099 debuted in 1993. It follows Jacob Gallows, a Public Eye Police Force member who becomes the Punisher in a dystopian cyberpunk future.
