The delayed inquest<\/a> into the death of Belfast teenager Noah Donohoe<\/a> is to enter its second day on Tuesday morning with the continuation of jury selection. <\/p>\n

The process of vetting around 100 potential jurors in the highly anticipated inquest took place in a separate courtroom on Monday afternoon. <\/p>\n

A small number were excluded by the evening, with those remaining told that they must make their decision on the evidence heard in court alone.<\/p>\n

Due to continue on Tuesday from 10am, the inquest is expected to last up to three months.<\/p>\n

Originally intended to get underway in November 2025, the inquest before a jury was pushed back after there were concerns that the evidence would not be finished before Christmas. <\/p>\n

It has attracted high levels of public interest over the unexplained nature of the St Malachy\u2019s College pupil\u2019s death. <\/p>\n

Presided over by coroner Mr Justice Rooney, he previously issued a warning about the \u201crisks of social media posts about the inquest\u201d<\/a> and for those responsible for any such posts. <\/p>\n

The coroner also told jurors on Monday to resist the temptation of conducting their own research \u2013 particularly from social media sources \u2013 as it may amount to contempt of court.<\/p>\n
