BBC Breakfast<\/a> star Naga Munchetty<\/a> is “set to quit” her hosting duties with the broadcaster, according to reports. The star’s agents are said to be in talks with rival news station LBC to explore fresh opportunities for the 50-year-old. The news comes just a day after Naga was named the fourth highest-paid woman<\/a> at the BBC<\/a>. The Corporation\u2019s annual pay disclosure report declared Naga\u2019s salary was in the \u00a3355,000 to \u00a3359,000 bracket \u2014 although this figure does include her work on Radio 5. But despite such a high wage, Naga is reportedly looking to jump ship amid claims a bullying row has raged on at the flagship show. It was reported last month that Naga\u2019s team had in the past held talks with LBC and Sky News, but following the launch of a probe into bullying on Breakfast her reps launched a fresh attempt.<\/p>\n

Show director Richard Frediani was investigated by an external consultant after complaints about his \u201cdraconian\u201d approach and incidents of misconduct, but in the fallout, Naga\u2019s own conduct was reportedly thrown into the spotlight. A source told The Sun: “The fallout of Frediani\u2019s investigation created a stark \u2018him or her\u2019 narrative on Breakfast with Naga flung to the front line. The fact is she loves the BBC<\/a> and her job but there\u2019s only so much external noise anyone is prepared to take.<\/p>\n

\u201cLBC would suit her well as the focus remains on news-led broadcasting, they take a hard line and there\u2019s far less of the fluffy nonsense involved in working at the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Her team last week renewed historic talks with the Global radio station to see if there could be any work for her there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the investigation, Frediani has returned to work on the show following an extended leave of absence. He is believed to have faced two misconduct complaints.<\/p>\n

A BBC<\/a> spokesperson told Express.co.uk <\/a>on Wednesday: \u201cWhile we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n

Express Online have also approached Naga’s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

Naga co-hosts BBC<\/a> Breakfast for three days a week with Charlie.<\/p>\n
