Jordan Spieth is back in contention for PGA Tour trophies, and it looked like he learned some dance moves along the way.<\/p>\n
Spieth<\/a> competed in the first PGA Tour competition of the 2026 season at the Sony Open after The Sentry was cancelled due to drought conditions<\/a>, and the 2015 Masters champion had a top-25 finish in just his second PGA Tour start since last August at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.<\/p>\n During round three of the Sony Open, Spieth busted out in a calm, shimmy and exciting jig while trying to birdie the ninth hole in Hawaii. Spieth shook his legs after hitting a six-footer which just barely missed the hole.<\/p>\n The PGA Tour\u2019s X account posted the video with a fun question: \u201cJordan Spieth or Elvis?\u201d with the announcers saying on the replay, \u201cI\u2019m not even gonna watch the ball here.\u201d<\/p>\n READ MORE: Miami suffers another setback less than 24 hours after CFP national championship heartbreak<\/a>READ MORE: Bill Belichick’s girlfriend sparks Tom Brady double date chatter with CFP final post<\/a><\/p>\n Spieth doesn\u2019t have status beyond 2026 and isn\u2019t exempt from the full roster of Signature Events for the second consecutive year. He also hasn\u2019t won a major in over eight years, but his placement in the first event wasn\u2019t awful.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a little bit of an off day, but all in all, coming into the week I felt pretty confident about where things were at, so I would’ve liked to maybe finish higher,\u201d said Spieth, who opened with three straight rounds of 68 and finished with a 69 on Sunday.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a nice finish, birdieing the last couple and feeling like I can take some momentum into the beginning of the season and hopefully get on a nice little run.\u201d<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Spieth underwent wrist surgery in August 2024 and is now following a \u201chealthy offseason.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s fun to be healthy, and fun to be knowing I’m working on the right things, and fun to be out here competing,\u201d Spieth said earlier in the week. \u201cI hit a lot of really fun, cool shots that I didn’t have in August, so I’m taking that as a positive. \u2026<\/p>\n \u201cAlthough it may not be all the way there where I want it in tournament play, each round as I continue to trust it should get a little bit better and better, and not caring about the result and just being dialed into the next shot is have I important right now because it allows me to free up a little bit more and I make better swings and hit better shots.\u201d<\/p>\n READ MORE: John Harbaugh makes feelings clear on Donald Trump involvement in Giants hire<\/a>READ MORE: Phil Mickelson convinces golf phenom to make huge sacrifice for him<\/a><\/p>\n Spieth noted that he\u2019s just like the rest of us, wanting to go back 10 years and just enjoy the rest of his career while he can.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd if I’m not having fun out here \u2013 I mean, I know 10 years from now I’m going to wish I had these 10 years back,\u201d said Spieth. \u201cI certainly wish I could go back 10 years. All in all, if you’re not having fun, what are you doing out here?<\/p>\n \u201cIf you’re not being present and you’re not enjoying the fact that you’re living out your dream, and if it feels like a job hard work, and I tell you it has and it really shouldn’t.
