Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that second row Cam Jordan will leave the club at the end of the current season to join fellow Gallagher PREM side Newcastle Red Bulls as widely reported in the press.<\/p>\n
The Cherry and Whites have already moved to fill the hole left by Jordan, with Rugby World Cup winner, Jean Kleyn and former Bristol Bears lock, Joe Joyce, signing for the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n
Jordan, 26, joined Gloucester from Leicester Tigers in 2020 and has since gone on to make 71 appearances at the club.<\/p>\n
Jordan said: \u201cI came to Gloucester in 2020 after leaving Leicester as a teenager. The fans put their faith in me, and I like to think that over the years I\u2019ve repaid that faith. I truly believe Kingsholm is one of the best atmospheres in European rugby, and it will always be a special place to me\u2026 I look forward to the boos I\u2019ll receive from the Shed in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cLeaving the club wasn\u2019t an easy decision, but I\u2019ve made the choice based on what I believe is best for my career.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor now, my focus is firmly on the rest of the season. I\u2019m determined to finish my time here on a positive note and, more importantly, try to give the fans something to be excited about in the second half of this season. We owe it to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Newcastle Red Bulls\u2019 sporting general manager Neil McIlroy said: \u201cCam is a big, physical lock who will help add go-forward and set-piece ability to our squad.<\/p>\n
