President Trump\u2019s youngest son saved the life of a woman in London when he witnessed an alleged attack on her by a former boyfriend, a court was told. <\/p>\n

Barron Trump was on a video call with a woman in London when he saw her ex-boyfriend allegedly grab her hair and push her to the floor while shouting \u201cyou are not worth anything\u201d, Snaresbrook crown court was told. <\/p>\n

Trump phoned the police immediately after he believed he had seen Matvei Rumiantsev, a Russian citizen, repeatedly punch the woman.<\/p>\n

In court, a dramatic call was played in which Trump\u2019s son can be heard calling 999 operators and telling them: \u201cI just got a call from a girl I know. She\u2019s getting beaten up.\u201d The call to the police was made on January 18, 2025, at 2.23am. <\/p>\n

Rumiantsev denies assault and actual bodily harm, as well as two charges of rape, intentional strangulation and perverting the course of justice.<\/p>\n

Rumiantsev, 22, of east London, was allegedly jealous of Trump\u2019s relationship with the woman and became angry when the American attempted to phone her earlier in the evening, prosecutors said. <\/p>\n

Trump, 19, was heard pleading with the emergency services to help after he gave the address for the woman. He said: \u201cIt\u2019s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 999 operator then told off Trump for refusing to answer questions, saying: \u201cCan you stop being rude and actually answer my questions. If you want to help the person, you\u2019ll answer my questions clearly and precisely, thank you. So how do you know her?\u201d <\/p>\n

Trump replied: \u201cI met her on social media. She\u2019s getting really badly beat up and the call was about eight minutes ago, I don\u2019t know what could have happened by now.\u201d He added: \u201cSo sorry for being rude.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bodycam video from police at the scene showed the woman telling officers: \u201cI am friends with Barron Trump, Donald Trump\u2019s son.\u201d One of the officers is then heard telling a colleague: \u201cSo apparently this informant from America is likely to be Donald Trump\u2019s son.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the woman then called Trump back, the president\u2019s son explained to officers that he could see her crying and being struck during the video call.<\/p>\n

During a cross-examination of the woman\u2019s account of the evening, Sasha Wass KC, for the defence, challenged her on the assertion that Trump\u2019s call saved her life. She told the court: \u201cHe helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The jury was told that the woman had been in a relationship with Rumiantsev for about six months at the time of the attack. The woman has claimed that Rumiantsev assaulted her and attempted to strangle her after an argument broke out. Months after this incident, the woman made a complaint to the police that she had allegedly been sexually abused by Rumiantsev. <\/p>\n

Police were told by the woman that she had allegedly been raped twice by the man, once in November 2024. The second incident is alleged to have taken place hours before the police went to the woman\u2019s apartment on January 18. Wass suggested to the court that Rumiantsev had restrained the woman after she behaved \u201cin an angry and violent way\u201d towards him that evening. <\/p>\n

Questioning the woman\u2019s claims, Wass said: \u201cYou invented this wholly untrue and fabricated account that he raped you on those two occasions \u2014 you were never raped.\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman replied: \u201cI didn\u2019t invent that. That would be completely evil and disgraceful toward people who have been in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
