Nora the cat who was filmed being taken by an Amazon delivery driver from outside her family home<\/a> has been returned, her owners have announced.<\/p>\n

Doorbell footage appeared to show the driver picking up Nora and walking away with her after attempting to deliver a package to the address in Elland, West Yorkshire<\/a>, on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Carl Crowther, one of Nora\u2019s owners, wrote on Facebook on Wednesday evening: \u201cWe are delighted to announce that she was returned home safe and well. Obviously we are over the moon with this outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crowther had previously said a large part of the family\u2019s distress was due to Nora having a heart murmur that required medication.<\/p>\n

He said they \u201care not going into details regarding her return due to ongoing investigations\u201d but he thanked people who had shared his posts or helped in any way, who he said included neighbours, strangers and his local councillors.<\/p>\n

West Yorkshire police have said an investigation into Nora\u2019s abduction is ongoing. Amazon<\/a> said it did not directly employ the driver, who worked for a subsidiary, but it was investigating the incident and had been in touch with police.<\/p>\n

Crowther claimed Amazon had done little to help him find Nora but had offered him money, which he said wasn\u2019t \u201cany good at this stage\u201d.
