After years of reports about a falling out between him and his wife, Nicola Peltz<\/a>, and his parents, David<\/a> and Victoria<\/a>, the eldest of the Beckham kids has shared a series of bombshell claims<\/a> on Instagram. <\/p>\n In his six-slide Story post, the 26-year-old makes several shocking allegations and addresses rumours that have been circulating for years<\/a>. <\/p>\n Here\u2019s a look back at how the drama has unfolded over the years \u2013 and, crucially, how Brooklyn\u2019s new claims differ from the previous narrative.<\/p>\n April 2022: Rumours of a Peltz-Beckham feud began circulating around Brooklyn and Nicola\u2019s Palm Beach wedding<\/a>. <\/p>\n Their big day was about as far away from low-key as you can get, with a rumoured \u00a32.85m budget and a celeb-packed guestlist. But hey, the groom\u2019s family are the Beckhams and the bride\u2019s father is a billionaire, so what did we expect? <\/p>\n At the time of the wedding, a few things raised eyebrows \u2013 most notably that the bride did not wear a dress by her mother-in-law\u2019s fashion brand, but instead turned to Italian designer Valentino.<\/p>\n Back then, both sides kept schtum on all feud rumours, but Brooklyn\u2019s Instagram essay now suggests talk of a row was spot on. He also alleges that there were plenty more wedding-related incidents that didn\u2019t make it into the papers. <\/p>\n August 2022: Almost six months after the wedding, the newlyweds addressed the dress saga \u2013 giving Variety a version of events that has now been contradicted by Brooklyn. <\/p>\n Nicola told the publication that she was \u201cgoing to and really wanted to\u201d wear a dress by Victoria. \u201cAnd then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn\u2019t do it, so then I had to pick another dress\u201d, she continued. <\/p>\n In a Vogue interview, Nicola\u2019s longtime stylist Leslie Fremar also described the Valentino bridal gown as \u201cthe culmination of a year\u2019s worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli\u2019s team\u201d, plus recounted two trips to the brand\u2019s Rome headquarters and two further fittings in the States. Fremar described it as \u201cthe ultimate couture experience\u201d. <\/p>\n None of this quite seems to tally with Brooklyn\u2019s new claim: \u201cMy mum cancelled making Nicola\u2019s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.\u201d <\/p>\n March 2023: After plenty of speculation over who would attend Victoria\u2019s Paris Fashion Week Show, Nicola joined the Beckhams in the French capital for the big event<\/a>. <\/p>\n open image in gallery<\/p>\n The Beckhams with Romeo\u2019s girlfriend Mia Regan (left) and Nicola on the right (PA)<\/p>\n \u201cI couldn’t do it without you,\u201d Victoria captioned a family photo featuring Nicola. \u201cI love you all so much.\u201d<\/p>\n October 2023: A stony-faced Nicola fulfilled her daughter-in-law duties once again as she attended the London premiere for David\u2019s Netflix documentary. <\/p>\n Victoria famously doesn\u2019t smile anyway… so maybe the model-turned-actor was just taking inspiration from her mother-in-law?<\/p>\n April 2024: While the whole Beckham clan, all of the Spice Girls and even Tom Cruise were at Victoria\u2019s 50th birthday party, Nicola didn\u2019t make it<\/a>. <\/p>\n The 31-year-old did her best to quash rumours of bad blood \u2013 which by this point were in full flow \u2013 with a post on Instagram explaining that she was spending time with her much-loved grandmother, who died a month later. <\/p>\n On the day of the bash, she wrote: \u201cHappy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham i\u2019m so sad i\u2019m not there to celebrate you and hug you. Sending all my love from me and my naunni. I miss you all so much!\u201d<\/p>\n Nicola followed it up with another post on Victoria\u2019s actual birthday, writing underneath a photograph of them together: \u201cI love you so much and love being your dance partner forever.\u201d<\/p>\n open image in gallery<\/p>\n Victoria and Nicola at the \u2018Lola\u2019 premiere in Los Angeles in 2023 (Getty)<\/p>\n February 2024: It was now Victoria\u2019s turn to do her bit to quash the feud rumours and the Spice Girl-turned-fashion-designer jetted over to the States. <\/p>\n VB was there to support her daughter-in-law\u2019s directorial debut Lola \u2013 the less said about the reviews, the better<\/a> \u2013 and posed for pictures with both Brooklyn and Nicola on the red carpet at the film\u2019s premiere.<\/p>\n December 2024: The Peltz-Beckhams fulfilled their duties on both sides of the Atlantic over the festive season, spending time with both Nicola\u2019s family in Miami and the Beckhams in the UK. <\/p>\n Victoria posted an Instagram carousel of family snaps, tagging her children and daughter-in-law, as well as writing: \u201cBeing together for the holidays makes me so happy xxxx I love you all so much.\u201d<\/p>\n May 2025: David celebrated his 50th birthday with a London bash to rival Victoria\u2019s \u2013 but this time, both Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from all of the celebrations. <\/p>\n Brooklyn has now alleged that he and his wife travelled to London to spend \u201cquality time\u201d with David the week of his birthday, only to find themselves \u201crejected\u201d. <\/p>\n \u201cHe refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner,\u201d Brooklyn wrote in his Instagram post. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn\u2019t invited. It was a slap in the face. (Getty)<\/p>\n A more detailed account of what allegedly happened features in Brooklyn\u2019s new post, where he claims: \u201cMy mum hijacked my first dance with my wife.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIn front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,\u201d he wrote. <\/p>\n \u201cShe danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I\u2019ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, another report claimed Brooklyn was being \u201ccontrolled\u201d and held \u201chostage\u201d by his wife. The eldest Beckham child refutes in his Instagram post, writing: \u201cThe narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards.<\/p>\n \u201cI have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety.\u201d<\/p>\n August 2025: The wedding vow renewal<\/a>. Without the Beckhams. <\/p>\n Just three years into the marriage, Brooklyn and Nicola decided to renew their vows in Florida. The guestlist was a lot smaller than the one for their actual big day, with fewer than 20 guests versus a mammoth 500.
