Ferrari has unveiled images of its 2026 Formula 1 car ahead of its Friday shakedown at Fiorano.<\/p>\n

The SF-26 is a “complete rethink of the car’s architecture”, according to Ferrari, to meet the demands of the new chassis and engine rules this year.<\/p>\n

Ferrari says the car has “cleaner lines and an overall philosophy focused on reducing weight and improving efficiency”.<\/p>\n

The car’s livery has more white alongside Ferrari’s classic red to “connect past and present”, and a return to gloss paint after seven years using a matte finish – similar to Red Bull.<\/p>\n

The pushrod suspension at both ends of the car marks the first time since 2011 that Ferrari will use a pushrod rear suspension configuration.<\/p>\n

Ferrari’s shakedown, which commenced shortly after the launch, provided an immediate opportunity to compare the real thing to what looks like a relatively simple and conventional design in the renders.<\/p>\n

Compared to other cars that have launched so far<\/a>, one of the few standout visual differences is that the top of its engine cover has a serrated edge before it goes back into the extended shark fin that returns on the 2026 cars.<\/p>\n

This was also visible on the version of the car that ran in the shakedown.<\/p>\n

“We dedicated significant time to the concept phase to capture as much as possible of the new regulatory and technical context,” said technical director Loic Serra.<\/p>\n
