Brown\u2019s assistant sent the morning show a statement saying that he \u201chas felt mentally and emotionally abused for years,\u201d and was advised by his therapist \u201cto protect himself and his peace by not attending.\u201d<\/p>\n In a video message aired on the show, Brown said: \u201cJust like the themes of this season, I\u2019m modeling what I believe is most important, which I want to remind you all, love yourselves and protect yourselves. That\u2019s why I\u2019m here at home and not there.\u201d<\/p>\n He went on to thank the show\u2019s crew and Netflix, but notably did not thank his co-stars.<\/p>\n Once again addressing Brown\u2019s remarks, Porowski said: \u201cI think, definitely a little surprised, but at the same time, look, we\u2019re so sorry that he\u2019s not here. We fully support, I think as a collective unit, him taking care of himself and I think to echo what he\u2019s saying, we\u2019re here to honor the legacy of a decade, which is so wild to think about and all the heroes we\u2019ve helped.
