{"id":386719,"date":"2026-01-23T20:36:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T20:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/386719\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T20:36:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T20:36:09","slug":"ufc-324-cameron-smotherman-collapses-at-weigh-in-for-bantamweight-fight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/386719\/","title":{"rendered":"UFC 324: Cameron Smotherman collapses at weigh-in for bantamweight fight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">American bantamweight Cameron Smotherman collapsed on the floor at the official weigh-in for Saturday&#8217;s UFC 324 in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Smotherman looked unsteady on his feet as he stepped on to the scales inside the T-Mobile Arena on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">After his weight was recorded as 135.5lb (9st 9.5lb), Smotherman made his way to the side of the stage where he fainted and fell on his face.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">UFC officials immediately rushed to the 28-year-old&#8217;s side and he came round after a few moments.
