If you\u2019re in a rush and need some last-minute Fantasy Premier League (FPL) advice, here\u2019s a quick round-up of what you need to know about Gameweek 23.<\/p>\n

WHEN\u2019S THE FPL GAMEWEEK 23 DEADLINE?<\/p>\n

All transfers and team selections need to be done by 11:00 GMT on Saturday 24 January.<\/p>\n

WHO\u2019LL PLAY FOR MAN CITY?\"FPL<\/p>\n

Gameweek 22 was another bad one for \u2018template\u2019 picks, including Manchester City attacking duo Phil Foden (\u00a38.6m) and Erling Haaland (\u00a315.1m).<\/p>\n

That\u2019s six consecutive blanks for Foden, withdrawn at half-time because of a hand injury<\/a>, while Haaland has reached eight matches (in all competitions) without an open-play goal. We\u2019ve tried to discover the reason for this<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Their underlying stats are still good enough to make our Goals and Assists Imminent tables<\/a>, plus the odds heavily back Pep Guardiola\u2019s side for a clean sheet<\/a> and attacking returns<\/a> versus last-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.<\/p>\n

But will Foden and Haaland even start this one? Especially now that Omar Marmoush (\u00a38.3m) is amongst the final batch of African Cup of Nations returnees<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Antoine Semenyo (\u00a37.7m) and fellow new signing Marc Guehi (\u00a35.2m)<\/a> should play, though. Neither were eligible for Man City\u2019s Champions League defeat to Bodo\/Glimt, explaining why they\u2019re both unanimous Scout Squad picks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

WE DO TALK ABOUT BRUNO\"Goals<\/p>\n

Similarly, Bruno Fernandes (\u00a39.3m) is part of all our suggested Gameweek 23 Wildcard drafts<\/a>. The all-rounder was unlucky not to bring in a massive haul<\/a> last week, playing the number 10 role.<\/p>\n

\u2018Buy, Keep or Sell\u2019 has him as an essential purchase<\/a> either now or after the trip to Arsenal. Many have already ditched Foden for him, whose 100% ownership within \u2018The Great and the Good\u2019<\/a> is surely about to tumble. Expect this to continue beyond Saturday\u2019s deadline.<\/p>\n

THE MIDFIELD DILEMMA\"FPL<\/p>\n

He and Bryan Mbeumo (\u00a38.2m) combined for the first derby goal, inspiring Lateriser to write about FPL\u2019s best midfielders to buy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s good timing, because Bruno Guimaraes (\u00a37.3m) is an injury doubt<\/a>, Cole Palmer (\u00a310.4m) is always nursing a knock<\/a>, Matheus Cunha (\u00a38.0m) was limited to a cameo role in Gameweek 22, Bukayo Saka (\u00a310.1m) once again didn\u2019t start<\/a>, and Morgan Rogers (\u00a37.7m) keeps missing chances<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Zophar\u2019s Q&A<\/a> spends a lot of time on the midfield situation. If he were to Wildcard right now, both Fernandes and Mbeumo would be chosen, while he also likes Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah (\u00a35.6m).<\/p>\n

BEST FPL GAMEWEEK 23 CAPTAIN\"Who<\/p>\n

Despite his recent struggles, neither Captain Sensible<\/a> nor our Rate My Team (RMT) algorithm<\/a> can resist recommending Erling Haaland for the armband, considering he\u2019s at home to Wolves.<\/p>\n

Both have Bukayo Saka in their top three, where Igor Thiago (\u00a37.2m) and Rayan Cherki (\u00a36.7m) also get mentioned.<\/p>\n

TEAM REVEALSSCOUT PICKS + DIFFERENTIALS<\/p>\n
