A number of passengers were left ‘covered in glass’ following a bus crash this afternoon, an eyewitness said.<\/p>\n

A 197 Bee Network service, from Stockport to Manchester city centre<\/a>, was involved in a crash on Stockport<\/a> Road in Levenshulme<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One passenger said it collided with the rear end of a lorry which was turning at around 3pm.<\/p>\n

Two of the bus’ windows were smashed.<\/p>\n

The witness said a woman was left ‘covered’ in glass, and she had a cut on her leg which was bleeding.<\/p>\n

“It was everywhere” they said. “It was all over the seats, the floor and in people’s hair and shoes.”<\/p>\n

A man also suffered a cut to a hand, he added.<\/p>\n

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said the cause of the crash would be looked into.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a collision between a Bee Network bus and another vehicle on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

“The bus sustained damage to two rear windows and returned to the depot following the incident.<\/p>\n
