The Old Tom Morris course beat Trump Turnberry into second place. The US president’s Trump International in Aberdeenshire, scraped into 10th place in the scenery and surroundings stakes.<\/p>\n
Donald Trump is understood not to have commented on being beaten for the top spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The National Club Golfer win comes within hours of Askernish Golf Club climbing up the latest rankings of Scotland\u2019s best golf courses, from 49th to 44th.<\/p>\n
The rankings are compiled by the editorial team at Top100GolfCourses.com, using expert panel reviews, architecture analysis, and golfer feedback.<\/p>\n
The Askernish course, operated by the community-owned South Uist estate, St\u00f2ras Uibhist, has hailed the \u201cexceptional work\u201d of their Head Greenkeeper, Donald \u201cNollie\u201d MacKinnon, at the heart of this success.<\/p>\n
