Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Ladbrooke Road in Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday night<\/p>\n

A road was closed after a serious crash involving two vehicles. Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the collision in Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Ladbrooke Road was closed following the crash at the junction of Sycamore Crescent just before 6.30pm tonight (Sunday, January 25, 2026). Pictures from the scene showed a rapid response ambulance at the scene as well as firefighters and police officers.<\/p>\n

The front end of two saloon cars appeared to have suffered significant damage, with one damaged car ending up in the middle of the road near a roundabout while the other ended in a garden after ploughing through a hedge.<\/p>\n

The road was closed while an investigation into the incident was launched. Moments after the collision residents reporting hearing the police helicopter overhead.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: \u201cShortly before 6.30pm on Sunday 25 January, one fire engine from Stalybridge<\/a> Community Fire Station was called to attend a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Ladbrooke Road, Ashton-under-Lyne.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur crew arrived quickly and worked alongside colleagues from Greater Manchester Police<\/a> to make the area safe. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour.\u201d<\/p>\n
