Yungblud<\/a> shared a final message for Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> in an emotional Instagram<\/a> post after attending the funeral for the Prince of Darkness.<\/p>\n

The rocker died aged 76 on July 22<\/a>, after a long ordeal with Parkinson\u2019s and other\u00a0health\u00a0problems \u2013 though an official cause of death is yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

The family confirmed the news<\/a> of his passing\u00a0just\u00a0weeks after his final show, Back to the Beginning, in his hometown of Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Following an emotional funeral procession through the streets of Birmingham \u2013\u00a0where his widow, Sharon Osbourne, was seen sobbing<\/a>\u00a0alongside their children \u2013 the Black Sabbath<\/a> icon was buried in Buckinghamshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among those reported to have attended<\/a> was Yungblud, 27, who has had a longstanding friendship with the metal pioneer.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram, the musician, real name Dominic Richard Harrison, shared a picture of the iconic crucifix Ozzy often wore that he passed on to him before his death.<\/p>\n

\u2018Goodnight Oz \ud83e\udd87your light will forever shine. I love you,\u2019 he wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n

Yungblud previously shared a poignant tribute to his late friend after the news of his death was announced, calling the cross the \u2018most precious thing he owns.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018I didn\u2019t think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room,\u2019 he said alongside pictures of the duo backstage at the Back to the Beginning concert, at which Yungblud performed.<\/p>\n

\u2018But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don\u2019t. I will never forget you \u2013 you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage. <\/p>\n

\u2018Your cross around my neck is the most precious thing I own. You asked me once if there was anything you could do for me and as I said then and as I will say now for all of us the music was enough. <\/p>\n

\u2018You took us on your adventure \u2013 an adventure that started it all. I am truly heartbroken. You were the greatest of all time.\u2019<\/p>\n

A video from Ozzy\u2019s final show of Yungblud gifting him another cross went viral online, with many saying how they were left in tears by the touching gesture.<\/p>\n

\u2018Obviously, you gave me a cross, and I wanted to return the favor, so I made you something,\u2019 he said, sharing a wooden box with the Crazy Train hitmaker.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thank you, man, for everything. It\u2019s an honour, man.\u2019<\/p>\n

He expressed to Ozzy how much he loved him, before reading the inscription on the jewellery: \u2018I hope this brings you luck. Love Always, Dom.\u2019<\/p>\n

In an interview with NME<\/a>, Yungblud explained how important it was for him to perform at Ozzy\u2019s last show and addressed fan comments that the torch was passed from the iconic rocker to him.<\/p>\n

\u2018I couldn\u2019t miss it. We\u2019ve become so close and I love him. His music has given me an outlet and he\u2019s given me so much advice,\u2019 he began.<\/p>\n

\u2018When it felt like people didn\u2019t understand me, I cried down the phone to him. He\u2019s always told me \u201cPeople will not get you, so do not deviate, keep fighting and keep pushing.\u201d\u2018 <\/p>\n

He added that Ozzy wasn\u2019t just his hero, and that he considered him family.<\/p>\n

Of his performance, which saw him belt out Ozzy\u2019s legendary hit Changes, he said: \u2018I was speaking to Ozzy yesterday about it and I just said \u201cThank you, I\u2019m going to try my best to make you proud.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u2018I do really love rock music and it feels like it\u2019s coming back. People are ready for it again, so I\u2019m going to hold onto the ball and I\u2019m going to run with it.\u2019<\/p>\n
