After scaring up an impressive $150 million worldwide, making it the third highest grossing horror movie of the year so far,\u00a0Danny Boyle\u2019s\u00a0long-awaited sequel\u00a028 Years Later\u00a0has made its way home this week. You can now purchase or rent the film on Premium VOD outlets including Amazon, with a digital rental costing $19.99 and a purchase running you $24.99.<\/p>\n

The long awaited sequel to\u00a028 Days Later\u00a0and\u00a028 Weeks Later\u00a0puts\u00a0Danny Boyle\u00a0back in the director\u2019s chair, with\u00a0Alex Garland\u00a0(28 Days Later, Ex Machina, Annihilation) scripting.<\/p>\n

In\u00a028 Years Later, \u201cIt\u2019s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. War of the Worlds, from producers Patrick Aiello\u00a0(As Above, So Below)\u00a0and\u00a0Timur Bekmambetov\u00a0(Missing,\u00a0Unfriended,\u00a0Hardcore Henry), was directed by Rich Lee.<\/p>\n

Kenneth Golde\u00a0and\u00a0Marc Hyman wrote the new adaptation.<\/p>\n

This modern-day adaptation follows \u201cWill Radford (Ice Cube), a top cyber-security analyst for Homeland Security, who spends his days tracking potential threats to national security through a mass surveillance program, until an attack by an unknown entity leads him to question whether the government is hiding something from him\u2026 and the rest of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

The supernatural horror movie\u00a0Queen of Bones has finally been released here in the United States this week, with Vertical bringing the film to VOD outlets beginning today.<\/p>\n
