A man has died in a crash in North Wales in the early hours of this morning with police urging witnesses to the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n
Officers from North Wales<\/a> Police were called to a two-vehicle crash on the A5025 near Pentraeth, on Anglesey<\/a>, shortly before 7am. The cars involved were a grey Peugeot 208 and a gold Audi A5 Quattro.<\/p>\n The Peugeot driver, a 29-year-old man, died at the scene. The driver of the Audi, a 22-year-old man, is in hospital after suffering serious injuries.<\/p>\n A North Wales Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Pentraeth this morning (Sunday, 25 January). Shortly after 6.45am, we received a reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A5025 (Pentraeth Road) between Pen-Y-Garnedd and Pentraeth Automotive.<\/p>\n “The incident involved a grey Peugeot 208 and a gold Audi A5 Quattro. Sadly, the 29-year-old male driver of the Peugeot was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n “His next of kin have been informed.”<\/p>\n “The 22-year-old male driver of the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.”<\/p>\n Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, added: “I share my deepest condolences with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n “I am appealing to anyone who was driving along the A5025 at around 6.30am on Sunday, and who may have witnessed the incident – or who may have relevant dash-cam footage – to come forward as soon as possible.<\/p>\n “Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to the investigation.”<\/p>\n Anyone with information is encouraged to get in touch with North Wales Police<\/a> through their website, or by dialling 101, referencing incident number: 26000067199.<\/p>\n Get daily breaking news updates on your phone by joining our WhatsApp community here<\/a>.
