As the
\nfamily departs the church service, before a wake at Leeds\u2019 Elland Road later, here\u2019s a
\nrecap of Terry Yorath\u2019s life and career. <\/p>\n

He played
\nfor Leeds United, Coventry City and Tottenham Hotspur, skippered Wales in 42 of
\nhis 59 international appearances, and later managed Swansea City, Bradford
\nCity, Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n

He will always
\nbe closely associated with the Wales team he managed that just missed out on
\nqualification for the 1994 World Cup after an agonising defeat by Romania.<\/p>\n

Yorath was also a First Division title winner with Leeds in 1974.<\/p>\n

He is
\nsurvived by three children – son Jordan and daughters Louise and Gabby, the sports presenter who married Scotland rugby union international Kenny Logan.<\/p>\n

Another son,
\nDaniel, died suddenly at the age of 15 in 1992 from the genetic heart condition
\nhypertrophic cardiomyopathy.<\/p>\n

Yorath was
\nalso player-coach of Bradford in 1985 and was at Valley Parade when a fire killed 56
\npeople.<\/a><\/p>\n

Logan
\ndescribed her dad as a \u201cwarrior on the football pitch\u201d, but a \u201ckind hearted and
